Miller Studios, Inc.

The web site for Miller Studios, Inc., a graphic and multimedia design firm in Ann Arbor, Michigan, presented us with both a challenge and an opportunity. The opportunity was the chance to work with an established design and with the graphics that Miller Studios provided to us. The challenge: How to adapt an existing Director-based multimedia presentation to the web, without excluding viewers by relying on plugins or DHTML?

We opted for a frame-based approach, using JavaScript to generate the animation and to enhance navigation.

The result is a site that showcases the visual and aural creativity of the Miller Studios crew, as well as their wacky sense of humor. All this is presented in a dynamic, media-intensive format which downloads with respectable speed.

Our modular approach to the portfolio sections allows the Miller Studios guys to add and remove portfolio pages without requiring our assistance and have the changes be dynamically incorporated into the site. We also developed an administrative application which they can use to create password-protected download pages for their clients.
